Connecting the Dots

“Connect-the-dots” is a tagline used to explain the joining of scripture based homilies to one or more Catholic Catechism elements in an environment which recognizes the unique beauty of Catholicism.    The phrase is intended as a way (but certainly not the only way) to draw attention to fact that   Catholicism is the one true Church founded by Jesus Christ Himself.  One should understand two basic premises in order to accept the legitimacy of “connecting the dots”.

With our Bishops and Priests ...

What Can I DO?

Catholic Complacency exists because it’s been allowed to; perhaps even cultivated by those entrusted with helping us gain our salvation.

Great leadership combats Complacency!   So, what can ordinary good lay people do?  Click here for a short list for your consideration.

We in this Lay Organization stand with
and support the Bishops of the Catholic
Church, in concert with the Papal
Authority, who are Champions of Life.

4C Today

A Fifth "C" is the challenge we accept is to Foster Internal Evangelization by:

  • Increasing / Awakening Appreciation of Catholicism.
  • Recognizing, Supporting, Encouraging and Defending the Clergy who proclaim the Church Catechesis.
  • Creating a grassroots movement by encouraging parish based lay people in these efforts.
Many studies of why people leave the Catholic Church conclude that people feel their spiritual needs are not being met; they hunger for the Truth. Most Catholics do not know their faith, because they have not been taught their faith properly. It's time to return to the Catechism, the repository of the beauty of the Catholic Faith. 4C Today's mission is to help make that happen in our parishes on a regular basis. It's time to swing the pendulum back to the catechism while  maintaining our study of the Bible.  The two are connected. To learn more, and perhaps become a part of this effort. click on the link within Connecting the dots to the left. Thank You for visiting our website.  God Bless You!

Our Story

4C Today is a grass-roots organization of Catholic Lay people concerned about the apathy and complacency prevalent in the Catholic community. A leadership crisis exists s evidenced by the silence of a significant number of our clergy on the most important and basic issue of all ... Catholicism.

We were founded first and foremost as a Pro Life, Pro Traditional Marriage, and Pro Religious Freedom organization. But a declining Mass-attending population makes those messages less effective than they can/should be. Catholic principles (as expressed in the Catechism) are ignored if even known. We don't know and understand our Faith well enough to express it or live it in our daily lives. We haven't been taught it well enough to fully appreciate its beauty and truths.

A necessary first step is to stop the exodus and then seek to get ex-Catholics back into our churches. Our Goal is to awaken the appreciation of Catholicism.

Our Focus will be on those things that address and reveal Catholic Truths. We will address the general issue of poor catechesis through a grassroots approach among existing Church-going Catholics. The need for internal Re-evangelization is great. While our initial effort will be for lay people, it may be possible for clergy to use some of its principles in their own parishes.

Check our Facebook page on a regular basis to learn more as our tactics are defined and published.
